Not a day goes by that they don’t come up with a weird expression or a funny word that they’ve made up. It’s usually pretty near the right word but with their own unique twist. We laugh and someone always says... ‘you should write it down’ and we very rarely do. So write it down we shall! It makes great reading and the small-ish people have explained everything from the creation, varieties of pasta to the National Health Service.

The explanations have been written by myself, Emma B, and my brother Peter Boughton, both tired and harassed parents, who were in need of a good chuckle. It’s been done dictionary style in the hope that you’ll find it funny and all the brilliant word inventions get credited to their creator.
